Calling All Souls! Please Help “Build a Wall” of Loving Prayers and Little Sacrifices to Save Souls!

“My heart is soft and forgiving. Like any good mother, I forget the mistakes of my children almost immediately. I can help poor sinners to forgive themselves and seek the forgiveness of my Son, a forgiveness that heals and strengthens. Sinners must not be afraid. They must simply close their eyes and say, ‘God, I have made mistakes. I’m sorry. I am Your child, though, and seek to be united to You.’ My child, all of heaven weeps for joy when even one soul makes this act of humility and love. How we rush in to assist this soul, and protect him from the attacks of the evil one. We nurture and guide this soul until he is back walking the path to Christ with confidence. Don’t be afraid, dear souls. You will find no recriminations. Only love. Be reconciled to the loving heart of my Son, who will lead you to the Father. What joy will be mine, to see you safely with Jesus.” -Our Blessed Mother Mary via “Anne” a Lay Apostle. Read more here:

“I love you. I have forgiven you everything you have ever done against Me or against yourself. You are welcome in My arms and there is a place in My Heart for you. If you make the smallest movement toward Me, you will see Me act with great speed to pull you back into the safety of your Christian family. My child, will you answer your Jesus? It is My voice you hear calling out your name. Come to Me now. You will look back on your life someday and you will see this moment as very important for your eternity. Do not hesitate. Your time is over and Mine has begun. Fear nothing. Accept My joy and accept My light. In all quietness, turn your eyes to Mine.” -Jesus via “Anne” a Lay Apostle. Read more here:

Truly, Jesus is All Mercy, All Kindness, and All Love, and His grace can heal and unlock even the most hurt and hardened hearts. A single act of humble yet courageous admittance of our faults and failures-“God, I’ve made mistakes, and I’m sorry. I am your child though, and I long to be united to you”– melts and moves His compassionate Heart to forgive and forget even a whole lifetime of sins in a single split second, just like He did for the repentant criminal on the Cross!

Yet our smallest prayers just might be the deciding factor as to whether a specific soul chooses everlasting life over eternal separation from God, and thus, from all Goodness, Beauty, Truth, Peace, Joy, and Love… That is because, like the adorable cooing and babbling of little babies in the arms of their parent, our heartfelt efforts in prayer and sacrifice utterly enamor, pierce, and ravish the Heart of our Father and Creator, causing Him to disarm His justice, open the floodgates of His Mercy, and unleash upon the whole world the torrents of grace necessarily for closed, callous hearts to sincerely turn to Him, even in their final moments! Truly, an unlimited supply of these conversion graces and the help of countless angels and saints is ever-abundantly available from the Throne of God, but in order to activate these graces and access this help, we here on earth must first ask, ask, ask, and thus pray, pray, pray! Jesus needs our help now more than ever before to pray for, indeed plead for His beloved souls, which are sadly choosing to willingly reject Him and His Commandments, and thus their place eternally prepared for them in the breathtakingly beautiful Kingdom of Divine Light.

Holy Love quote

Of course, this is just one of the many benefits of developing a deeper interior life of silence and prayer. After all, the more we pray, the more closely we will be united to Christ and the more clearly we will know His Will for us by the promptings He places in our hearts at every moment. The more we pray, the more of God’s love, joy, and peace will fill and flow through us to others, even and especially those hardest to love (who need it the most). The more we pray, the greater degree of brightness and beauty our soul will radiate throughout eternity, as Jesus raises our place in Heaven forever every time we merely look at Him in the Tabernacle/Eucharist with love! No wonder St. Padre Pio, the mystic and stigmatic, who was often able to see his guardian angel and even physically battled with the devil, is quoted as saying, “Prayer is oxygen for the soul.”

Yet what is the most perfect and pleasing prayer to the ears of Our Lord? Besides simply talking to Him as an intimate friend and offering Him all our little deeds of the day (like working, driving, eating, even sleeping!), the most beautiful of all prayers, and indeed greatest of all Commandments, is loving Him from the depth of our hearts! And that is exactly where the “Act of Love*” prayer comes in…

Act of Love Prayer

*Note: Although this was the original formula given to Sister Consolata Betrone of Italy in the early 1900’s, the prayer “Jesus, Mary, Joseph, I love You! Save souls!” as was revealed on July 16th, 2001, to visionary Edson Glauber in the Church-approved apparitions of the Holy Family in the Amazon. Through these as well as the approved messages of Our Lady of America and others, like, St. Joseph has been revealing his Chaste Heart and its strong intercessory power in these latter times. Indeed, not only is he the highest in glory after Mary in Paradise (Immediately after the moment of his conception, God rendered him sinless by the future merits of Jesus’ Passion and inflamed his soul with a degree of love of God that surpassed even the highest seraphim), but he is “Terror of Demons” and the eternal representative of God the Father in the Three Hearts of the Holy Family-  the microcosm of the Holy Trinity- and indeed the spiritual father of all humanity whose Name alone also showers many blessings and graces down on those who implore it with devotion and trust! Therefore, I recommend adding him in the “Act of Love” prayer, whenever possible! Additionally, Jesus revealed an updated “New Act of Love” to the German mystic Justine Klotz (1888-1984) which recently received the Church imprimatur in 2011. Learn more here:

In Our Lord’s own words to Sister Maria Consolata Betrone, to who, He revealed this “Act of Love” prayer: “…tell souls that I prefer an act of love and a Communion of love over any other gift they could give Me.” “Tell Me, what prayer can anyone say that is more beautiful? ‘Jesus, Mary, I love You! Save souls!’ Love and souls, what would anyone want that would be more beautiful?” “This ‘Act of Love’ includes all souls; the souls in purgatory, the innocent, the suffering, the sinful, the dying, and even your own poor soul.” “Remember that an act of love on your part can decide the salvation of a soul, its eternal salvation. So see you don’t waste a single ‘Jesus, Mary, I love You! Save souls'” “If a creature of good will loves Me and wants to make his life an act of love (from the heart, as understood) from awakening to the moment of sleep, I will do enormous things with this soul.” “I will think of everything, even to the smallest details. You, think only of loving Me.”

Think about it… Every time the name of Jesus is pronounced from our lips and hearts, God receives infinite glory and showers untold grace, demons are forced to fearfully flee, and all of Heaven comes to our attention as we are covered in His protective Precious Blood! And of course, the devil absolutely HATES, abhors, and writhes not only at the mention of the Name of the King of the Universe, but also the powerful Name of the Queen of Heaven, the humble yet beautiful Woman clothed with the sun, the moon on her feet, and crowned with twelve stars (Revelation 12:1), Who crushes the head of the serpent (Genesis 3:15), is Full of Grace (Luke 1:28) and thus free from sin, and and is indeed the Mother of God (Luke 1:43) and our own personal Mother, as Jesus gave Her to us all in His final words on the Cross (John 19:26). Though God could have brought about our salvation through any other vessel or means, He chose to take on human flesh and come into this world in and through the Virgin Mary and to redeem our souls by His Passion and Death alongside and even in the arms of His Beloved Mother, Who gave Him the necessary consolation and strength to carry His Cross every step of the way. This explains where the titles Mary has rightly received in the Catholic faith of Advocate, Co-Redemtrix, and Mediatrix of All Graces come from. St. Bernadine of Sienna explains that, “Every grace that is communicated to this world has a threefold course… it is dispensed from God to Christ, from Christ to the Virgin, from the Virgin to us.” Imagine a light bulb. If Christ is the Light of the world, Mary is the pure and spotless glass encasing Him, the Tabernacle of His living Presence in the Eucharist, and the Spouse of the Holy Spirit, Who entirely and intimately overshadowed Her in the conception and incarnation of the living Son of God within Her Womb (Luke 1:35). Therefore, the closer we get to Mary, the closer we come to Jesus, and thus to the entire Trinity. And as our tender, kind, gentle, and loving Mother, that is all She really wants for us, for Her last words in Scripture really say it all: “Do whatever He tells you” (John 2:5). This is precisely why the late Father Edward Carter, SJ affirms that “the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” For in Her own words to the three children of Fatima: “You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.” If you’re still not convinced of Mother Mary’s role in our daily life and eternal salvation, I exhort you to watch the first 7 minutes of this video, and read the following words spoken by a St. Dominic, to whom Our Lady first revealed the extremely efficacious prayer of the most Holy Rosary for the conversion of the world:

“’Mary.’ Say her name throughout your day and she will nourish you as a
mother nourishes an infant. I speak now as your brother, who wants only what is best for you. If you do not have a devotion to this woman, I am beseeching you to seek one. Only holiness and peace come from the relationship with Mary. Only blessings and purity come from her. Joy and peace flow out from her to all she encounters. Families and vocations are restored. If you are in any way struggling today, seek Mary’s help. You will not be disappointed. If you are not struggling, be grateful to Mary because it is a given that she has helped you in the past. Jesus only blesses those who love His mother.” -St. Dominic via “Anne” a Lay Apostle, in “Heaven Speaks to Consecrated Souls”

As is plain to see from the above words concerning the “Act of Love,” the fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful (James 5:16). Yet, there is another weapon readily available to each one of us at nearly every moment of the day that can bring even more souls to salvation: sacrifice. In the words of Sister Lucia, the visionary of Our Lady of Fatima, “Putting up with any sacrifices that are asked of us in our day-to-day lives becomes a slow martyrdom which purifies us and raises us up to the level of the supernatural, through the encounter of our soul with God, in the atmosphere of the presence of the Most Holy Trinity within us. We have here an incomparable spiritual richness!” Indeed, the more we suffer here during this very short on earth, the greater will be our glory and the closer will be our resemblance to the Christ for all of eternity in Heaven! Jesus Himself, Who suffered everything imaginable, physically, emotionally, and spiritually for our salvation, tells us that “…suffering saves souls.” “You must begin to equate even your smallest crosses to so many souls rescued from darkness.” Wow! Just think about how many little pains, annoyances, inconveniences, disappointments, and misunderstandings we may experience on any given day. Talk about an opportunity to grow in holiness and help others get to Heaven! And yet, do we carry our cross in this life, which will our Crown in the next, as Jesus did, with resignation, humility, acceptance, love, and even joy?  Can we truly say, along we Saint Paul, “…for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties, for when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)? If you are like me and struggle to embrace the crosses in your life, listen to these words and consider taking up the following prayer, given to us by Our Divine Lord Himself:

“See how willingly I accept this cross? If My children, even just My chosen ones, would accept their small crosses and say, ‘I accept this cross in the name of Jesus Christ for the salvation of sinners,’ I could save countless souls. Countless. The value of even a small thing offered to God is inestimable. You must understand that suffering will occur in every life. Use it for your holiness and for the good of your brothers and sisters.”       –Jesus via “Anne” a Lay Apostle in Volume 1: Thoughts On Spirituality,

Perhaps this is why the angels “envy” us human beings for two things: being able to suffer, as well as being able to receive Jesus’ Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity daily Holy Communion. As St. Therese of Lisieux put it, “When I think that, for a sorrow borne with joy, I shall be able to love You more for all eternity, I understand clearly that if You gave me the entire universe, with all its treasures, it would be nothing in comparison to the slightest suffering.” Truly, when it comes to the inevitable life experiences of pain, frustration and heartbreak, we have two options: we can either shove it all down or offer all it up. The former leads to bitterness and despair, the latter leads to holiness and freedom. Let us, therefore, endeavor not to waste a single once of our life’s sufferings, but generously and joyfully give them all to the God Who so lovingly measures and entrusts each and every one of them to us, knowing what can handle and what we really need, all for the greater benefit of our own souls and those we may never meet until eternity (Romans 8:28)! And let us begin by praying the following prayer, entitled, “The Offering of Past Crosses” which Jesus desires us to propagate as far and wide as possible (feel free to copy/paste, and text/email to family/friends!)…

Offering of Past Crosses

Beyond involuntary sufferings, making voluntary sacrifices can win us more grace and strength for our souls to overcome the immediate urges and selfish impulses of our bodies. As Our Lady revealed through the modern-day visionary Maureen Sweeny-Kyle of Holy Love Ministries, on June 8th, 1998, “When sacrifice is added to prayers, it is twice as strong.” The following are some ideas for little sacrifices to give to Jesus throughout the day to help bring souls to Him:

First and foremost, waking up (without hitting snooze!) and right away giving your whole day to the Lord and accepting with love all the crosses He sends your way that day in advance by uniting every moment to Jesus’ Sacrifice on the Cross, made present in all the Masses said throughout the world, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary…

Morning Offering.jpg

(Our Blessed Mother has revealed to her beloved children that if they simply give Jesus our day in the morning, He can use every moment of their day, even their recreation, to save souls! For a list of more morning prayers recommended from Our Lord, click here:

Other ideas for little sacrifices include committing oneself to a more structured, scheduled prayer life, attending daily Mass (and staying after for at least 20 minutes to allow the Eucharistic Presence of Our Lord time to overflow His lasting Love into our souls:, forgoing desserts or sugary drinks (or choosing healthier options instead), intermittent fasting (such as the Medjugorje bread and water fast on Wednesday’s and Friday’s. Read more about the power of and urgent need for fasting from Jesus’ own words in God’s Blue Book 3 here: ), talking less and listening more intentionally to those God places on your path, smiling at strangers, taking a cold or cool shower (even for the duration of a few seconds or “Acts of Love”), choosing silence instead of the radio, exercising instead of watching TV/Netflix, reaching out to old friend, visiting a grandparent in a nursing home and recording their life advice/experiences, picking up a piece of trash (“To pick of a pen for love can convert a soul” -St. Therese), answering a text or email RIGHT AWAY, obeying a parent, boss, or authority figure quickly and joyfully without complaining, holding your tongue from a derogatory or unnecessary comment or joke, waiting a moment and prayerfully recollecting one’s self before having a conversation, detaching from the outcome of a game or another person’s opinion, taking a few minutes at the end of your day to examine your conscience to see the ways you could have loved God and neighbor more selflessly, forgiving an unkindness and even returning it for a kindness, sealing your lips and smiling at/praying for someone being unkind to you (this one is definitely NOT easy, but you being Christlike to them and loving the unloving could actually be their salvation!… ) And the best possible sacrifice of all? Our Lord tells us on it is actually an internal sacrifice of heartfelt LOVE: “…the greatest and most perfect of all sacrifices is to live in Holy Love in every present moment. To do so dictates a total dying to self. This is the sum total of all I ask.”

Remember, to never, ever, ever let yourself become discouraged if you find yourself struggling with making these little sacrifices or even in persisting in constant, loving prayer. We, as imperfect human beings, are subject to inconstancy and distraction, yet it is precisely our weakness and littleness that humbles us and draws Our compassionate Savior to help us all the more readily and tenderly. Over time, however, with God’s grace and our perseverance, building the selfless habits of prayer and sacrifice will become an easier and easier, even second nature to us! Therefore, there is no need to get frustrated or dismayed, for in the end, it is not in the success but the effort where true virtue lies, it is not in the great and heroic deeds but the hidden and humble tasks where saints are made, and it is not the cost of the sacrifice to the soul that God looks at, but the love in our hearts when we freely offer it to Him. Indeed, it is love alone that sanctifies us and makes even the smallest of our actions precious. In the 24 Hours of the Passion (the amazing book where Jesus promised He will give you a soul for every word you read!), Servant of God Luisa Picarreta goes as far as to say that, “Every little act, suffering and thought that we do united to Jesus can be used to grab souls, so that they may not fall into hell. United with Jesus, we will have His own power in our hands. But if we do not do our acts united with Jesus, they will not serve to prevent even one soul from going to hell.” Truly, the more we love Jesus in everything we say, think, and do, the more souls He will be able to rescue in and through us! No wonder Our Lord revealed to St. Gertrude the Great that every time one soul recieves Him in Holy Communion (in a state of grace, of course), something good happens to every soul in His Mystical Body, the Church, in Heaven, Purgatory, and Earth! And so the best thing we can do for all others is to truly love God more and more! In Jesus’ own words via God’s Blue Book 2:

Please prayerful consider one or two persons with whom you could share this post, so as to teach them this powerful prayer to incorporate throughout the little moments of their day and indeed life! I truly believe the souls saved because of it will thank you profusely and praise God eternally in Paradise! Thank you so much and may God bless you with all the Blessings of the United Hearts, the Anointing of St. Michael, and the Baptism of Truth! Mary, Refuge of Holy Love and Protectress of the Faith, pray for us and come to our aid!  Yours in the Infinite, Infinite Love of the Three Hearts of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,

“Little Gregory”

“My brothers and sisters, tonight realize that your prayers offered with humility and heartfelt love ransom many souls from the path of perdition and onto the path of righteousness. Persevere, then, in heartfelt prayer, for many souls depend on your efforts. Do not be discouraged in any way, for this is Satan trying to dissuade you from the path of righteousness.” -Jesus on June 1st, 2007 via

“In this hour of decision, the smallest prayer or sacrifice can mean the difference between life or death for a soul.” -Jesus on 4/5/1993, via

“Dear children, do not be disheartened. No prayer is wasted but is meritorious at the moment it is said, and for all eternity.” -Blessed Mother on 11/7/2012, via

No prayer, no sacrifice is too small or is ever ineffective.” “Take for instance one Hail Mary. If it is recited with a loving heart it brings with it the power to convert a soul, to stop a war, to deliver a soul from purgatory, even to change the future of the world. See then that the love in your heart when you pray determines the power of the prayer.” -Jesus via

A Single Hail Mary...

The inner working of hearts and, indeed, the movement of the Cosmos itself, depends on a few just prayers offered daily in Holy Love. Often, you do not see the dramatic effects of your prayers; but I tell you, no prayer offered with love goes unheard. You have the power of your rosary in your hands to stop wars and thwart man made or natural disaster. The rosary is more powerful than any nuclear weapon when it is prayed with love. In trust, believe in Me.” -Jesus on 4/30/2013

When lovers are together, they spend hours and hours repeating the same thing: ‘I love you!’  What is missing in the people who think the rosary monotonous is Love; and everything that is not done for love is worthless.” -Sister Lucia, visionary Our Lady of Fatima

“I have come to tell each one of you that anything you do without love in your heart is wasted. Priests in particular must pray for love of prayer, sacrifice and penance, for this is the way of conversion for their flock that they have been entrusted with. Do not hesitate to ask me to intercede for you, whether you are a priest or lay person. This is a special grace to love penance, prayer and sacrifice. I will help you with it.”-St. Jean Vianney on July 14th, 2006, via

“Satan knows that the Rosary is the weapon which will bring about his defeat. This is why he is desperate to discourage its use. Every time you recite a Hail Mary from the heart, the devil is weakened forever in some area and in some soul.” “You must never be discouraged, then, in praying the Rosary. When your heart is most filled with distraction, understand the adversary is frightened of your prayers.” -Jesus on 9/18/1999 via

“My child, you must understand that when you come to Me in prayer, if only for a moment, I am consoled. My heart is comforted, which allows Me to give you untold graces, of course, but also, your prayer allows Me to soften My justice toward others who never seek Me. When you meet Me face to face, you will see clearly every happiness you have caused Me. I need you and so appreciate any fidelity offered to Me. If only for the sake of repayment you should come to Me often, as I reward each prayer, each glance, each petition even, beyond anything you might imagine.” -Jesus in Volume 2, Read more here:…

“Dear little children, Jesus has sent Me to ask of you extra prayers, as many prayers as you can offer, for such is the need of our Hearts. Every prayer you offer is already used up by My Son, whose Heart is greatly offended. Therefore, My little children, pray, pray, pray.” -Blessed Mother on 9/9/1993, via

“Do not think that the merit of your prayer is based on how you feel when you are praying. You may feel nothing on some days, but you must persevere and believe me when I tell you that on those days, when you feel nothing, you are saving as many souls through your smallest prayers as on the days when all of heaven seems open to you. Smile now, and let everyone you meet see the smile of Jesus. You are a soul who is being held close to my heart. My child, my little one, how precious you are to me.” -Blessed Mother on 7/7/2003 via Anne a Lay Apostle

“…please understand that your prayer life is the mortar that holds the bricks of virtue in place. Without mortar, bricks crumble and fall. Without prayers, virtues are replaced with weaknesses and sin.” -St. Thomas Aquinas via

From the moment you wake up, intercede for others. Claim sinners from Me. You cannot know the joy you would give Me. I died for them. It wasn’t illness that made Me die. I was struck down in the fullness of life. If you don’t help Me today, I won’t be able to save this soul or that one, and you know I love them. Then save them as though you were saving Me.” -Jesus to Blessed Gabrielle Bossis, “He and I”

“You don’t feel feel yesterday’s cold any more and you can’t yet feel the cold of tomorrow. So it’s only a question of this present moment. And what is a moment of discomfort in exchange for the salvation of a soul who will praise Me eternally?

“What you do for yourself will perish miserably. What you do for others, for the love of Me, will go on re-echoing throughout all eternity.” -Jesus to Blessed Gabrielle Bossis, “He and I”

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death.” -1 John 5:14

Tribute to a Life Well Lived

On December 18th, 2019, my Grandmother, Elizabeth Perenich Weaver, took her last breath and, peacefully, painlessly, and surrounded by family, entered into the tender and loving embrace of Our Lord Jesus Christ forever. I had the incredible honor of delivering one of the eulogies at her funeral mass a few days later, and would like to share it with you now…

Grandma, you were a character. From “Somewheeeere over the Rainbow” to “Flyyyy me to the moon” to “The Hilllls are aliiiiive with the sound of muuusic,” you LOVED to sing…and dance! Oh, what a great joy and honor it was to hold your hands and spin you around at many a family birthday party, rosary gathering, or holiday celebration! You never ceased to put a smile on my face just by being yourself, like the time a few years back when we took you with us to see the movie “The Greatest Showman” starring the theatrical Hugh Jackman and afterward when we asked you how you liked it, you simply smiled and said, “I think I want a husband!

Grandma as a Young WomenDancing with Grandma Final.png

Grandma, you were an artist. Who could even begin to count all the many breathtaking scenes of nature or realistic portraits of your grandchildren that you captured on your canvases, each of which give us glimpses of what this world looked like through your beautiful bright blue eyes? Thank you for painting a watercolor Image of Christ holding out Himself hidden in the Eucharistic bread and wine for my First Holy Communion, for sculpting a moment of me and my little brother laughing on a rocking chair, and for all the other colorful creations you so thoughtfully brought to life and lovingly gave away throughout the masterpiece of your life.

Art By GrandmaGrandma's Painting of An Eagle

Grandma, you were a mother. I will never know just how you raised 9 kids, tirelessly cooking, cleaning, and caring for each and every one of them, and even warmly welcoming many a stranger from the streets, since for you, everyone really was always welcome and the more really was always the merrier! And though you were a human being with your flaws and failings just like the rest of us, somehow, you never seemed to complain, nor did your patience ever seem to run out. Indeed, who could forget your reaction the day when all the little grandchildren were running around the downstairs bedroom of your house covered in baby powder everywhere… “Oh, honey, that’s no big deal. Just vacuum it up. It’ll be fine…”
Even in your older years you would go through the list and pray for each and every one of your grandchildren by name. Your love for your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and indeed all children, born and unborn alike, was why, even in your last years, you would still talk about putting an ad in the paper for mothers considering abortion, pleading, “Please, don’t get rid of your baby. Give him or her me. I will take care of it and it will grow up one day to thank you.” I don’t think it’s any coincidence that in your final hours on earth, you were moved to a room the pediatric unit in the hospital, considering your special love for the littlest ones among us.

Perenich Family Christmas

Grandma, you were, are, and always will be a lover of God, a friend of Jesus, and a child of Mary. You knew firsthand the intimate love, limitless forgiveness, and tender kindness of Our Lord and that is how you were able to radiate that same love, forgiveness, and kindness to others, even and especially to the unloving, unforgiving, and unkind. And with a rosary almost always in your hand, you were to us all a living reflection of the goodness, gentleness, and sweetness that can only come from a woman as holy and beautiful as Our Blessed Mother Mary.
Though you were a woman of faith throughout your whole life, it must have become increasingly clear to you that in the end of this life, in the face of death, in the light of eternity, nothing- not social recognition nor physical appearance nor worldly pleasures, riches, or achievements- nothing satisfies, lasts, or matters except loving God and saving souls, even in the littlest tasks and humblest duties of the day. Truly, I believe that right now, you are seeing from God’s eyes the fruits of all your selfless sacrifices, persistent prayers, kind words, and sweet smiles on the hearts and souls of so, so many. And because each one of your Hail Mary’s is saved and sealed into your eternal reward, I can only imagine your glowing crown of everlasting glory promised to and preserved in highest heaven for those who are faithful to their faith, their family, their duties, and of course, their daily rosary.
Mothers Day with GrandmaGrandma!
Grandma, you were a character, artist, mother, and -some might even say- living saint. I can’t wait for the day when you and I can sing, dance, laugh, and pray together again in Heaven someday. Yet in the meantime, I know you would want nothing more than for me, for all of us, to live lives like yours, lives of authentic holiness, of placing God above all else, putting aside our differences, picking up our crosses, and paying close attention to the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. But because this process of personal holiness in the present moment is only possible through heartfelt prayer, and because a even single ‘Hail Mary’ prayed with a loving heart has the power to convert a soul, deliver a soul from purgatory, and change the future forever, I now turn to the Heart of the God of the Universe, which beats, burns, and bleeds for love of us in this and every Tabernacle around the world, and with all the angels and saints, and all of you who were touched by the one and only Elizabeth Perenich Weaver, I pray:
“Hail Mary
Full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee
Blessed art Thou among women
And Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb
Holy Mary
Mother of God
Pray for us sinners now
And at the hour of our death.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and perpetual light shine upon her. May the beautiful, prayerful, sweet, and loving soul of Elizabeth Perenich Weaver and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Infinite and Unfathomable Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

To Save 1,000 Souls: The Power of a Single “Act of Love”

The Supernatural Superpower of Love

If you could have any superpower in the world, what would it be? Invisibility? Super-speed? The ability to fly and shoot lasers from your eyes? What if I told you that the greatest superpower of all is within reach of every human being…because even in the humble, hidden, ordinary and everyday circumstances of life, the love of God in the depths of the soul is the most powerful force in the world.

Consider the following quotes from Our Lord and His saintly servants:

“Don’t you know that because of My compassion a single act of perfect love atones for a whole lifetime? That one humble and tender look from you pierces My heart with love?” -Jesus to Bl. Gabrielle Bossis, “He and I”

“I would recreate the whole universe just to hear you say you love Me.”-Jesus to St. Teresa

“A single act of love with absolute abandonment and trust can make a saint even at the moment of death.”-Jesus in “He and I”

One act of love can determine eternal happiness for
a soul, Therefore, be careful never to omit one “Jesus, Mary, I love Thee, Save Souls!’ Do not lose time! Every act of love means a soul!’ -Jesus to Sister Consolata Betrone

“One single act of love on the part of man, one single act of charity, is so great in God’s eyes that He could not repay it even with the immense gift of the entire Creation.” -St. Padre Pio

“One single act of love that remains hidden in the soul gives more glory to Jesus than all the apostolic works in the world.” -St. Peter Julian Eymard

“An act of perfect love for God immediately reconciles the soul with God, even if it’s full of mortal sins, and even before sacramental confession, as long as the will to confess is present.” -Lorenzo Sales in “The Littlest Way of Love”

“Every act of perfect love further develops the state of unity between God and the soul, and consequently also the divine life within the soul.” -Lorenzo Sales in “The Littlest Way of Love”

“Every act of perfect love, like every other supernatural action, earns us an increase in sanctifying grace, which, in its turn, increasingly affects our actions. In addition to that, it earns us a greater glory in heaven.” -Lorenzo Sales in “The Littlest Way of Love”

WOW! If a single act of love is so precious to God powerful for souls, imagine making your whole life a ceaseless act of love! Well, that’s exactly what Sister Maria Consolata Betrone (1903-1946) was called to… And by the grace of Almighty God, that’s exactly what she did! The following video gives a simple explanation of the Act of Love prayer formula given to Sister Consolata…please share with any young children you know, as truly the eternal ripple effects of little children praying this very beautiful powerful prayer from their pure, childlike hearts are beyond our comprehension! 🙂

Servant of God Consolata Betrone- A Little Backstory

Sister Consolata was a Franciscan Capuchin from Italy, and though she is still relatively little known within both Church and secular circles, after reading through the remarkable “Jesus Appeals to the World” written by her spiritual director Lorenzo Sales, I believe she will be soon revered and emulated by many for generations to come!

This is because through her, Our Lord has revealed and established a new spiritual way which compliments and completes St. Therese’s beloved “Little Way,” that is, “The Littlest Way of Love.” Interestingly, Sister Consolata often read “The Story of a Soul” as spiritual reading in her earlier years in the cloister, and one day Jesus Himself told her on November 27th, 1935:

“Little Saint Thérèse once wrote: “Why is it not given to me, O Jesus, to relate Your ineffable condescension to all little souls? I have a feeling that if the impossible were to happen and You were able to find a soul still weaker than my own, it would please You to heap upon her still greater favors, if only that soul would abandon herself with complete faith to Your infinite mercy.”

Well, I have found that still weaker soul who had abandoned herself with complete faith to My infinite mercy: it is you, Consolata, and through you I will perform marvels which will far exceed your fondest desires!”

Sales explains that the form of spiritual childhood to which Sister Consolata was called to consisted in not only to performing “all actions with love, not only to gather up and offer up with love the flowers of small sacrifices and small acts of virtue, but to make an effort to enliven every instant of this short earthly journey with love.”

Essentially, this means 3 things:
  1. Praying the Act of Love dictated by Jesus- “Jesus, Mary, I love You! Save souls!”- as often as possible from one Communion to the next. For Sister Consolata, this amounted to making acts of love about 17 hours a day, every day for around 10 years (except, of course when she was writing, meditating, or speaking out of necessity and charity, in which cases Jesus promised to continue the Act of Love Himself)! Though it sounds far-fetched, it certainly was not impossible with the constant grace, endless power, and tender help from God, Who is Love Itself. In fact, Jesus promised her that millions upon millions of souls would one day follow her in endeavoring to make their lives a ceaseless act of love, as a “Littlest One” of Love, or at least a frequent act of love, as a “Little Angelet.”
  2. Having a “smiling yes” for everyone, so as to see and serve Christ in each person He sends our way.
  3. Having a “grateful yes” for everything, accepting with love and trust all He permits in our lives, good and bad alike.
The following quotes from Jesus to Sister Consolata encapsulate this new Spiritual Way, the Littlest Way of Love:
“Consolata, tell the world how good and maternal I am, and how I only ask for love in exchange. Today, like yesterday, like tomorrow, I ask for nothing but love of my poor creatures.”
“Believe Me, I am solely and always kind; I am solely and always like a parent to you.”
“Only divine love can transform apostates into apostles; dirtied lilies into immaculate lilies, sinners covered in vices into trophies of mercy.”
“Transform any disagreeable thing you meet in your daily walk into bouquets of flowers. Gather them with love, and offer them to Me with love. Gifts? This is how I appreciate them: when they are given with all possible love. This is how even your most insignificant actions become precious.”
“Consolata, tell souls that I prefer an act of love and a Communion of love over any other gift they could offer Me.”
“Love is holiness. The more you love Me, the holier you will become.”
“Love Me and you will be happy; and the more you love Me, the happier you will be. Oh, if people loved Me, what joy would reign in this most miserable world!”
“A single ‘Jesus, Mary, I love You. Save souls!’ makes up for a thousand blasphemies. Tell Me, what prayer can anyone say to Me that is more beautiful?”
“If a creature of good will loves Me and wants to make his life an act of love (with the heart, as understood) from awakening until the moment of sleep, I will do enormous things for this soul.”
“I will think of everything, even down to the smallest details. You, think only of loving Me.”
“Forget everything completely, think only of loving Me more and more; concentrate all your thoughts, your heartbeats, the silence on this alone: loving.”
“You live in Me and we are one; you will bear much fruit and become powerful, because you will disappear like a drop of water in the ocean. Within you will pass my silence, my humility, my purity, my charity, my gentleness, my patience, my thirst for suffering, my zeal for souls, to save them at any cost.”
“Don’t omit a single act of love for Me, see Me in everyone and say a resolute “yes” to all, with firm confidence tat My help will never fail you. And smile. Always smile. I Myself will be smiling through you.”

Seize the Day by Sanctifying the Moment

The Messages of Maranatha Spring and Shrine often speak of sanctifying the moment by living the present in Holy Love. Consider the following Prayer for Personal Sanctification in the Present Moment that Jesus revealed on July 20th, 2005, to be prayed every morning:

“Heavenly Father, I desire to live in your Divine Will in every present moment by living in Holy Love in thought, word and deed.” “When I am distracted or tempted, I ask my guardian angel to remind me of the present moment so that I may sanctify each moment through Holy Love. Amen.”

But what exactly does it mean to “sanctify each moment through Holy Love”? Because God is Eternal and God is Love (1 John 4:8), by abiding in Him through loving, we allow His love to flow into all of our thoughts, words, and actions, thus sanctifying and eternalizing all of our present moments, which otherwise might have been wasted and lost. The more we love Christ, the True Vine, especially through prayer and the sacraments, the closer we, the branches, will be infused into Him, and the more good fruit our present moments will bear, not only in time, but perpetually, throughout all of eternity (John 15:16)!  St. Therese explains this concept when she says that “Love makes time eternal by giving divine value to everything.” Indeed, Jesus confirmed this on November 5th, 2006 in a special Message to all peoples and nations: “The only thing you lose forever in the present moment is that which is not loving. The only thing which you save in the Eternal Now is all that you think, say and do in Holy Love. Holy and Divine Love are eternal.”

Perhaps this is why Mother Teresa once said, “Every Holy Hour we make so pleases the Heart of Jesus that it will be recorded in Heaven and retold for all of eternity.” Truly, “love never ends!” (1 Corinthians 13:8) and why Our Lord told Sister Consolata, “When you last ‘Jesus, Mary, I love You!” will have been pronounced, I will gather it up, and through the writings of your life, I will transmit it to thousands of sinful souls who will receive and follow it in the simplicity of this way of confidence and love, and they will thus love Me.” Truly, “love never ends!” (1 Corinthians 13:8).

So how exactly do we love God to the greatest possible extent? For Catholic Christians, loving God, far from being a distant and elusive idea is a concrete and physical reality that can be experienced every day in the reception of the living God-Man, Jesus Christ Himself, hidden in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. And though one must be a practicing Catholic in a state of grace (that is, free from all mortal sin) in order to be able to worthily receive Our Lord’s Precious Body and Blood at Mass, anyone of any faith at any time can adore Him in the exposed Host during Eucharistic Adoration.

Yet, what about all the other precious present moments during the day? Mustn’t we, as St. Padre Pio advised, “rise up and value every instant of time that passes and is in our power. We must not waste a single moment”? After all, if we are striving not merely to get to Heaven, but to reach the highest possible place in Heaven, closest to the very Throne of the Most Holy Trinity and bring as many souls as possible with us, we should consider St. Tomas of Aquinas’s words to Maureen Sweeney-Kyle, regarding the Highest Heavens (the 6th Chamber of the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and Immersion into the Divine Will of God the Father):

“There are martyrs and other saints who are in the highest place in the Fifth Chamber–for there are certain priority levels within each Chamber–all according to merit. Yet, these saints, while standing very close to the Sixth Chamber, are not allowed entrance.” “You cannot understand this unless you comprehend that every present moment counts towards your eternal reward.”

I believe that ceaseless Act of Love is the newest, shortest, fastest, and easiest Way, by which we can, as Father Lorenzo Sales explains, by giving “the maximum value to every instant of our short earthly journey for the glory of God, our own sanctification, and the salvation of souls.” Sister Agnes Imaculee of the Children of Mary (a religious in a community committed to returning the infinite Love of Our Eucharistic Savior with a life of continual love!) goes on to elaborate on the ceaseless act of love and address many of the practical questions on loving from one Communion to the next in the following very insightful video:

Note: To love is an act of the will, which may or may not include the feelings. That is why Jesus told Sister Consolata: “Love Me continually. It doesn’t matter if your heart is made of stone or ice!” and why Mother Mary reveals to Anne a Lay Apostle in “Volume 1: Thoughts on Spirituality”: “Do not think that the merit of your prayer is based on how you feel when you are praying. You may feel nothing on some days, but you must persevere and believe me when I tell you that on those days, when you feel nothing, you are saving as many souls through your smallest prayers as on the days when all of heaven seems open to you.”

Love is Sacrifice

Additionally, Jesus revealed on February 9th, 2008: “Do not wonder what type of sacrifice to offer Me; for the greatest and most perfect of all sacrifices is to live in Holy Love in every present moment. To do so dictates a total dying to self. This is the sum total of all I ask.”

This, to me, seems perfectly in line with Sister Consolata’s mission and those of all future “Littlest Ones”, for as she relates in one of her diary entries on July 14th, 1936:

“…During recreation it had been stated that she loves Jesus the most who makes the most sacrifices. While pondering over these words during this evening’s meditation, I became saddened because I do not make any great sacrifices for Jesus, and yet I have so intense a desire to love Him ardently! Am I not, therefore, a poor deluded being?… I raised my eyes to the statue of the Blessed Virgin in front of me, and as I regarded it, a comforting though shot through me: what great thing had Our Lady done during her earthly sojourn at Nazareth? And yet no creature will ever surpass her in her love of God. While I was thinking of her and promising to imitate her, I heard these words: ‘In order to love Jesus deeply, you must do everything possible to make your unceasing act of love as intense as possible.'”

This, of course, doesn’t mean that sacrifices are not required of the Littlest Ones. On the contrary, this spiritual way aims to not miss a single sacrifice or act of mortification, as well as act of charity or kindness, throughout the day. In Jesus’ own words, “Consider St. Peter: alone, he had fished all night and hadn’t caught a thing; with Me, he had barely thrown in the nets before they were full of fish. In the same way, if you remain in Me, with each inspiration to mortification that I send you, you will throw in the nets and I will pull them in, full of souls which you will only know in Paradise.”  If this sounds intense or intimidating to you, fear not! For it is precisely in making the act of love consistently that one acquires the strength necessary for making these little sacrifices with great love by being as closely united to Jesus as possible. In Jesus’ own words, “Consolata, establish within yourself a continuous “Jesus, Mary, I love You. Save souls!” Consider that it’s the only resolution that will allow you to say “YES” to all of my request for sacrifices.” Truly, to quote Sister Consolata herself, “The ceaseless act of love is more powerful than any suffering: so, to place myself above suffering, I must not cease to love.”

Though our daily crosses and sacrifices, small and large, are a part of our lives as human beings, I find that it is focusing all possible attention and efforts on actively loving Love better and more, via the continual Act of Love-what I can control- instead of passively perceiving or, worse, rebelling over the pain- what I usually cannot control. If it is the love in our hearts and not the cost to the soul that God looks at in determining the merit of our sacrifices (see St. Therese’s message, on ), then should we not be focused entirely on the giving of Love, instead of what that gift might take from us? In this way, we resolve to be constantly giving Love, and abandon what we receive, good or bad, to He Who Loves us with the hypervigilance of a mother, the audacity of a madman, and the intensity of a martyr. As Our Blessed Mother Mary has advised us in the Church Approved locutions to “Anne” a lay apostle”: “We are going to take care of everything. You need only to love Jesus and let Him direct your life. Be like a small sparrow, living only in the moment, confident that God will provide everything needed for the next day, the next season, and the next year. Your mother blesses you.” (Volume 1: Thoughts On Spirituality).

Of course, just like souls that have attained the 5th innermost chamber of the United hearts, the Littlest Ones are to love and love again after mistakes in all tranquility, even and especially after inevitable falls, which Sister Consolata states expressly at the end of her letter to all the future Littlest Ones of the Heart of Jesus: To the Littlest Ones.

My Journey to Becoming A “Littlest One”

I personally felt very attracted to the Littlest Way of Love when I read about it. I first encountered a certain form of the Act of Love prayer on the following website, which has great resources on prayer and its effects:

Later, I discovered the following words in an updated version of the Pietà Book:

Screen Shot 2019-01-03 at 12.25.30 PM

But it wasn’t until reading the following “Catechism” so-to-speak of “The Littlest Way of Love” by Lorenzo Sales that I felt called to become, like Consolata, a “Littlest One” of Love and commit myself to the ceaseless act of love. This “Catechism” of the Littlest Way cleared up a lot of questions I’d had and I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking to answer potential objections, or just to learn more:

Since committing myself to the unceasing act of love as a Littlest One, I would try for a while (very unsuccessfully I should add) to pray “Jesus, Mary, I love You! Save souls!” at all times during the day, while still maintaining my other devotional practices- as Sr. Consolata recommends in her letter to all the future Littlest Ones- such as the Rosary of the Unborn. (I often intersperse the Act of Love with the Rosary of the Unborn, and even, if I’m feeling particularly arid, some spiritual reading, such as the Volumes, Holy Love Ministry Messages, and of course the God’s Blue Book Love Letters, which Jesus recommends us to read every day for at least 10 minutes, especially before Him in the Tabernacle). Reading “SAVE SOULS” (with Church Imprimatur on and “I will think of Everything. You, think of only loving Me: The Ceaseless Act of Love” by that same order of religious sisters, the Children of Mary, which Sister Agnes Immaculee is a part of (which is only $4.50 on Amazon Kindle!) inspired and helped nourish me on this new and exciting prayer journey, and I could quickly feel the liberating and enlivening effects of this simplified spiritual way.

The New Act of Love: A New Littlest Way?

Finally, relatively recently, I stumbled upon yet another mystical revelation, given to German mystic Justine Klotz (1888-1984). It is the following “updated” or “New Act of Love” which received the imprimatur of the Chruch in 2013:

“Jesus, Mary, I love You!

Save priestly souls! Save souls!

I beseech You!

Grant me to repeat this Act of Love 1,000 times with my every breath, my every heartbeat.”

Imprimatur N. 26 Vicariatus Romae 29.11.2013

My understanding is that the means of the Littlest Way should all remain the same but the only thing that should substantially change is the formula (Jesus tells us in “God Speaks to the Soul” the compilation of Justine Klotz’s spiritual writings, “Pray assiduously the ACT OF LOVE! It has to be like a clock that never stops”), for the new Act of Love revealed to Justine Klotz is said to partially replace the original Act of Love given to Sr. Consolata. Of course, I was a little hesitant to replace the Act of Love so as not to deviate from the spiritual way outlined, but after praying for and receiving a sign (in the form of a particular reversion of someone close to me), as well as doing more research and even contacting someone in Germany specifically affiliated with Father Hubert, the priest responsible for spreading the writings, I am convinced that this is the way to go, at least for me personally.

Why? You might ask… Well, besides blindly trusting in the direction of the Holy Spirit and His priest here, the promises of this prayer are so sublime. Jesus reveals that the New Act of Love is “a nuclear part without equal” and even that it “is always a consecration to my love, as much as a solemn Holy Mass” (WoW! For Catholics who know, it is evident that a prayer of this magnitude which “intonates the Ave Maria” [“Hail Mary”] could only be obtained for and from the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and with the greatest and most abundant graces of these dark and dire spiritual times). And with the salvation of so many souls on the line, why not pray it at least in the morning or evening, (for as our Lord promised: “If every soul would pray it once in the morning and again only once at the end of the day, the thousand would be completely accepted, as every raindrop that falls into the oceans and none of them could be fished out again”)? Or, if you’re ridiculously aspiring to be a “Littlest One” of Love like me, why not take a risk and incorporate it as your life’s background, or spiritual “breathing”? Yet with whatever frequency and fervor you can pray this Act of Love, remember that it is so powerful that Jesus has said: “It is an eternal offering. Even while you are thinking about it, I can save many souls“, “Oh Child, I don’t see your mistakes. Make an Act of Love and everything will be fine.” “I love this Act of Love. I have attached great graces to it.” “How my Mother cried for the sake of souls! It is for Her that I established the Act of Love, so infinitely great for each soul, and forever.”

Additionally, the New Act included the petition for the salvation of priests, and of course, when we pray for priests, we are really praying for all those they impact and indeed the whole world. As Mirjana the Medjugorje visionary recently declared in rousing Catholics to pray for and love their priests or “shepherds” as Our Lady calls them: So from this moment we are living now until her [Our Immaculate Mother Mary’s] triumph, there is a bridge and that bridge is the priests. And Our Lady decided that we must pray for priests so that this bridge may form.”

Moreover, concerning the utmost importance of praying for priests, Jesus told Catalina Rivas in the mystical messages (with Church approval) to her on the Passion: “You will soon know that I had to tell you this because I love you and because I promise anyone who prays for My priests, the remission of all due temporal punishment. There will be no Purgatory for those who grieve because of lukewarm priests, but rather Paradise immediately after their last breath.”

There are, of course, more everyday practical benefits to using the new formula over the old. For one, it really serves to enhance my fervor when I ponder really what I am saying and try to make every word count! (No wonder Our Lord told Justine Klotz, “Every act of love inflames as never before”)! Also, because it is a little longer and slightly harder to inherently ingrain, it seems (at lebefore becoming very deeply established and engrained in me), more effective in combating distracting thoughts, given the increased focus it requires to successfully and continually execute with love. And finally, while the original act of love might be able to be prayed during the bulk of any and all conversations, praying with the New Act of Love really forces one to stop and be present to the person Our Lord has placed in front of us and attentive to the words He wants to say through us. For He tells us through Anne the Lay Apostle in the beautiful Volume 2: Conversations with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus“: “Look for opportunities to serve Me in the people I place in your path. If you sense that I need you to assist a soul, let your spirit go quiet while I place the proper inspirations in your heart and mind. Then you may respond o to the need in this soul for Me, and My word, My presence will have been achieved.”

1,000 Souls? How Can It Be?

Now, I understand that saving 1,000 souls every time this prayer is devoutly prayed, and even with breath and every heartbeat, might be hard to believe, especially for skeptics in our modern world. But perhaps this is why Our Lord tells us that “this Act of Love is an act of trust to the greatest extent” and tells us to, “Pray with great trust!” I’m reminded here of the illustrative metaphor Jesus gave us on July 24th, 1999 through the visionary Maureen Sweeney-Kyle: “The degree of faith in the heart when a prayer is offered is like the heat in an oven. The warmer the oven the more quickly and completely the bread is baked. The higher the degree of faith, the more quickly and completely a prayer is answered.”

Let us remember that according to, every day, about 360,000 more human beings are born into the world1 (which doesn’t include the approximately 150,000 unborn children who are conceived and then tragically killed in the womb by the crime of abortion2, nor the souls conceived who don’t make it to childbirth due to death by natural causes- which are actually reported to be half of all fertilized eggs3– who are still immortal souls in need of Christ’s Salvation to attain the beatific vision of God for all of eternity!). Indeed, let us also remember that these times are unprecedented in both the scope and severity of sin and yet infinite supply and unimaginable quality of grace, for “where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more” (Romans 5:20).  The Saints have “holy envy” of us from Heaven as Father Michael Gaitley put it and Saint Anthony in Volume 7, Greetings from Heaven confirms: “When I look upon the world today, I am truly jealous of all the opportunities to serve”… There is no limit what I can do with a soul who trusts (from Volume 1?). Finally, consider how there is no limit to what God’s generosity toward and action through a soul who trusts Him unreservedly. Let us then do as Our Lord commands and pray this New Act of Love with great trust, so as to make it more furtile and effective for souls!

Just think of the great saints like St. Faustina, who writes in her Diary: “When I immersed myself in prayer and united myself with all the Masses that were being celebrated all over the world at that time, I implored God, for the sake of all these Holy Masses, to have mercy on the world and especially on poor sinners who were dying at that moment. At the same instant, I received an interior answer from God that a thousand souls had received grace through the prayerful mediation I had offered to God. We do not know the number of souls that is ours to save through our prayers and sacrifices; therefore, let us always pray for sinners (1783).”

Or consider how in “The Soul of the Apostolate,” Father Jean-Baptiste Chautard cites a trustworthy source which reveals that St. Teresa of Avila was so fervent that she converted 10,000 heretics by one of her prayers! Of course, these greatest of the great saints are the fewest of the few, and in our modern day even practicing Catholics praying with great consistency and confidence might be far and in between, but if to His Apostles’ Jesus says, “You must begin to equate even your smallest crosses to so many souls rescued from the darkness,” we must never underestimate how much good God can work through one person, even in just one cross, one prayer, one sacrifice, one moment, one act of love!

Lastly, since God is eternal and omnipotent, and our heartfelt prayers to Him transcends even time and space, it may be that a New “Act of Love” you pray now could be applied to the salvation of souls that lived in Pharos’s day and age, or to souls that are living hundreds of years after us! This perhaps is why I believe mystic and stigmatist St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina is quoted saying, “Maybe you don’t know that I can pray even now for the happy death of my great-grandfather. ”

At the end of the day, even if I’m doing my math and/or logical reasoning wrong, we might simply look with eyes of childlike simplicity and dependence up to our Papa God and simply say what small children often say to their parents, as Jesus Himself encourages us to say, in Volume 2: “You promised!”

To Conclude

If you’re wondering, I find this New Act of Love a great aid in my spiritual and everyday life. I should probably denote this by saying I am not a cloistered religious, but am living in the world and doing active ministry, where there can be, at any time, a lot of potential distractions! I’m reminded though, that Sister Consolata, who kept the strictest of silence, essentially suggested that this Act of Love could keep even souls with many activities in the world recollected, and also of God the Father’s message just a few weeks ago, on March 3rd, 2019, via “Allow the Tabernacle of My Son’s Heart to open and admit you in off-and-on throughout the day. If you are busy in the world, say little ejaculatory prayers off-and-on intermittently as you work – ‘Jesus, I love You.’, ‘Mary, My Heavenly Mother, come to My aid.”

To think that each and every New Act of Love is “so infinitely great for each soul, and forever” helps me stay in the present moment and focus my attention, energy, and efforts on making each New Act of Love with as much love, joy, and peace as possible! This is the goal. For what Our Blessed Mother Mary told Maureen Sweeney-Kyle on February, 13th, 1994, I believe she calls us to everyday: “Today I want you to give Me the whole day, moment to moment in Holy Love; not looking back; not looking ahead. Immerse your heart in Mine in this way, so that our hearts are one and beat as one. For in eternity this is how it will be, My angel. Such joy you give Me in this act of confidence such resplendent joy. Sustain your peace in this way. I am Mary, Queen and Mother. All praise be to Jesus!”

I also find it interesting to think that Sister Consolata herself, the “model” for all future Littlest Ones, would often remind herself that each Act of Love which perpetuate for good for all of eternity, and that the Blessed Mother even told her at the end of her life, she will in vain wish she could make but another act of love. (It also reminds me of Jesus’ mysterious words on August 20th, 2010: “My brothers and sisters, whenever possible turn your hearts lovingly to prayer in the present moment. This will lead you closer to Divine Love. There are many souls in Purgatory today who wish they could say one more Hail Mary in front of the tabernacle, and promptly be delivered into Heaven by so doing.“)

Of course, it is up to the Holy Spirit to inspire souls to this New Spiritual Way and indeed New Act of Love. Still, remember that that Our Lord revealed to Justine Klotz that it is for everyone, and all who pray it at least once, will be treated like the workers in the last hour! Also, recall that in addition to a great number of men and women Jesus is calling to be “Littlest Ones” (which are actually a minority in the grand scheme), He is calling many more souls, including those of the littlest children, to make at least frequent acts of Love, as “Little Angelets.” Yet with whatever frequency and fervor you can pray this Act of Love, whether you’re loftily aspiring to be a “Littlest One” of Love, who is attempting to incorporate this New Act of Love as your life’s steady background prayer, or spiritual “breathing” (or at least in all your free moments of the day, such as driving, waiting in line, doing laundry, falling asleep at night, ect.) or if you’re just thinking of praying it once in the morning and once before bed as Jesus has asked, keep in mind that it is not the quantity of acts of love Our Lord is looking for but the quantity and depth of love in our hearts.

Thus, let us be open to the outpouring of Holy Spirit like the first Apostles were, so as to be filled with most powerful force in the world, the force that brought about the birth of the Christian Church 2,000 years ago: LOVE. Indeed, Love continues to awaken the reign of Kingdom of God in hearts today, for as Jesus told Sister Consolata: “Yes, ask forgiveness for poor guilty humanity, ask for the triumph of my Mercy for them, but especially, ask, oh! ask for an outpouring upon them of the embrace of divine Love which, like a new Pentecost, delivers mankind from its illnesses.”

Let us therefore resolve as St. Bernadette did, to spend every possible second loving, or at least love Jesus a little more with our act of love to Him in the next moment, our “smiling yes” to Him in everyone and our “grateful yes” to Him in everything He so lovingly sends our way! In time, this New Way of Love and New Act of Love will surely spread, many, many souls will find a secure eternity in the family of God, and our own hearts will be a little closer to the Sacred and Immaculate United Hearts of the Holy Trinity, until God is truly all in all, the good fight has been fought, the race has been finished, and the war has been won! For as Jesus told Justine Klotz in “God Speaks to the Soul“: “I want to destroy the power of the devil with the Act of Love. I showed you how little David went to fight with small stones and you have the Act of Love multiplied a thousand fold. I will show you how much it is worth. Souls, Souls! A lamentation of My love! Death must give way to these souls, because love cannot die. The cross had become victorious!”

Indeed, LOVE has conquered, is conquering, and will conquer overwhelmingly…for Love really is most powerful superpower in the world!

“I ask You [Jesus] to raise up, from among the “Littlest Souls” of the entire world, from among the souls who are devoted to working with children: in the orphanages, in the schools, in the churches, in the associations, among the mothers and sisters of good families, I beg You to raise apostle’s hearts from everywhere, which will try to promote the coming of your reign of love, gathering many “Angelets” (of both genders) from those who are born to life, and teaching them the act of love.” -Sister Maria Consolata

More amazing quotes from Jesus about the new Act of Love:

“(…) All will be in the act of Love. Therefore, spread it and let it be spread. For the time being, secretly. It will become a great flame. I promise. You start, with courage! Always add the thousand! You don’t know what you are doing. It is like a down payment for my love, for which I pledge myself without reserve. The angels will sing ‘HOLY’ and will praise my Love as never before.”

“You don’t know how astonished the angels are over such an event. I shall not take anything back. No one can lose me anymore. It is for the benefit of everyone. Do not descend the mountain; a summit is formed. The Holy Spirit is visible in the triumph.”

“Children beware! It is a time of deceit! I have seen to it with the ACT of LOVE. With it, no one can flounder. They (the apostles) were united in prayer, as you are in love. “It is as an act of consecration to my love; as at Holy Mass. The angels are always present. They too desire showing me their love through their presence. They sing a hymn for the souls, to embellish them with their love. Oh, if only you could see how they do it. For them it’s always a celebration when they crown the soul. Your love attracts them. Often, there are angels of the highest orders present. “Therefore, love this act of love! It can join heaven to earth. It has come to be because of the mother’s prayer. The Mother disposes of a host of angels which she sends to help her children in the battle. No one is alone in the act of love; there are many who pray at the same time.”

“(The act of love) is as a clock that does not stop. It is united to my mercy. “He who LOVES is SAVED; he who SAVES is LOVED! They are as hands of the clock, going around my heart. They are my heartbeats. Just as my heartbeats cannot be stopped, so no one can stop this clock. To the contrary, it will resound in St. Peter’s. It will spread to the world. All the world will hear it.”

“Pray the act of love with commitment! It brings light. It benefits all, far beyond death!”

“You cannot understand love. Only accept the act of love the way it is, for the entire world which has turned so cold. It is the sun; it is light against darkness. There where it is prayed, sin cannot spread. I gave it to you through my Mother; it is a gift, for everyone the same. “The act of love must create communion. I want to give you this love. ALL WHO ADOPT IT, AT LEAST ONCE, WILL BE TREATED AS WERE THE WORKERS WHO WERE HIRED AT THE END OF THE DAY (at the eleventh hour). I tell you that Solomon was not robed as well. I will accept all who come to me in this way. I love you so much. “This love will be as breath for the soul. For its sake I will open up many cold and stony hearts. Mankind has sunk so deeply that only my mercy can save it. That’s why I give you this act of love.”

“Each Act of Love flares up (to spread wider). Everyone will receive me till all are one.”

“My Love is a power that forgives. This is an impediment to the devil. Every Act of Love is a blood donation, in the spiritual sense. It allows the soul to breathe. Through my Love, every soul is able to receive Life, which impedes them from dying (the eternal death).”

“Many await you. You must show them the way of the Act of Love; the one I have shown you, with reference to the “one thousand” (times)”

“I will open my Heart again. With this help, hell will lose every foothold. Find refuge for your souls in the Act of Love.”

“This is how much an act of love is worth to me! It is LOVE FOR EVERYONE, WITHOUT MEASURE! You only need to have faith and it will cause miracles.”

“I want to conquer the world with my heartbeats of love! This way I am united to you through the ACT of LOVE! The devil would want to diminish everything, yet it never was so great. You must never lose TRUST! Receive the sacrament of penance more often!”

(On the ACT of LOVE): “It is granted you all to belong to my Mother! She is the QUEEN OF GRACE! “Come together in the ACT of LOVE! My Heart is ready! It is a time of grace, particularly for sinners. Don’t lock me up in to your narrow heart, for my Love goes beyond, to the ends of the earth.”

“Pray the Act of Love! Put your time to good use. Make time for yourself always. Encourage also others to do the same. (…)”

“The ACT of Love will conquer the world.”

“The Greatest Sinner Deserves Most My Mercy”

Greetings friends and family in Christ and Happy Easter! I hope everyone was able to experience and share in the JOY of the Risen Lord, Who is truly alive in the Eucharist and in our hearts! 🙂

Today, on the Feast of Divine Mercy, don’t forget that if you go to Mass and receive Holy Communion in a state of grace, Our Lord is willing to grant total forgiveness and remission of sin and punishment (aka NO purgatory time!)… God’s Mercy is truly superabundant, especially in these times we are living in of unlimited and unprecedented graces! Just to illustrate the power and scope of this promise, Jesus Himself has told us through “Anne” the Lay Apostle, in Volume 2: Conversations with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus:

“Come back to Me now, My little lost soul, and I will lift all punishment due you. Repent and throw yourself into My arms. I will forgive you immediately. I have already done so. But in order to heal and to be comfortable in heaven, you must repent and seek My forgiveness. You must come to Me to seek My forgiveness. You must come and get it from Me. I am here, in the tabernacle. Come to Me here and I will forgive all sin. I will make you as pure as if you had never sinned.”

Wow…God is good! I once heard it explained that all of the sin of humanity throughout all time and space is but a drop compared with the infinite fires of Divine Love and Divine Mercy… No wonder Our Lord, who came specifically and especially for sinners, told St. Faustina, “My mercy is greater than your sins and those of the entire world.” Similar words of His were given to Maureen Sweeney Kyle on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 23rd, of 2006 in the United Hearts Field:

“Every fiber of My Heart desires to pour mercy upon the world. I search for the repentant heart which opens the way to My Mercy, but so few have sorrow for their sins. Many travel the road to perdition, thinking title, position or money merits their salvation. At their judgment, I look into the depths of their hearts. If they, at their last breath, turn to My Mercy, they are saved. Do not be discouraged by the numbers or types of sins you have committed. The greatest sinner deserves most My Mercy.”

Pretty amazing right? And yet, why are we so surprised at this? Could it be because we feel like we personally have simply gone “too far” or done something “too shameful” to turn back, like the prodigal son, to the Love of Our Merciful Father?

When I had my reversion to the faith a few years ago, I often wondered how someone who had been given so much, so many graces and blessings from God, and yet wandered so, so far could ever return to my former, childlike state of goodness and innocence, let alone attain the sanctity of the greatest saints! After all, I was the little boy who used to pretend to be the priest and reenact the Mass for my family at home and wear a rosary chain around my belt loop at school (they even called me Pope Gregory!)…and yet sadly I too had slowly given over to the sinful ways of today’s culture, becoming obsessed and overtaken by the vanity of my appearance and the impulses of my body. I was thus making a habit of mortal sin, damaging the beautiful state of my baptized soul (and those of many others around me) and losing the most precious and priceless of gifts, the Love of God within…and for what? Social reputation? Virtual popularity? Passing pleasures? Empty experiences? And yet, Jesus was always there, loving me even at my darkest, and especially then, for in my junior year of high school I remember vividly feeling so undeservedly showered with all the love and friendship I had so desperately sought after in middle school, which had been a difficult time for me of being bullied and feeling alone.

That night, in the backset of my mom’s Lexus parked at a local Walgreens (of all places), I remember for the first time in my life crying tears of joy, and feeling the actual physical sensation of a tender, warm, overwhelming embrace that could only have come from the God of Infinite Mercy and Unconditional Love. Since that day, it has been a gradual process of falling more and more deeply in love with Jesus in Prayer and the Sacraments, wherein I find the endless oceans of grace to purify myself of “self” and make more and more room in my heart for the One Who is Love Itself. I have fallen many times along the way and am in definitely nowhere near perfect, but I understand now that all God wants and needs from us every day is our utmost desire, willingness, and commitment to love and serve Him as best as we can, and when we fail, to simply rise again with the renewed resolve and unshakeable trust of a little child who knows it can do nothing on its own but depends on his strong yet compassionate Father for everything. The following metaphor from this inspiring work entitled “Saving Souls”, to me, so well embodies Pope Francis’ words that “God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy”:

“Look at your hands right now. They are clean not because they never got soiled, but because you wash them every time they get dirty. It is the same with your soul.”

And so, dear reader of these words, my earnest plea to you is this: Please. Do not let your past mistakes torment or define you. Do not allow your current addictions to rob you of your mission as a soldier of Love and your eternity in the Kingdom of Light. You have souls to help save, my friend…starting with your very own! As Jesus reveals in Volume 2:

“Indeed, I have special work for each one of these days remaining to you. If you will say “yes” to Me, I can rest more easily, knowing those tasks will be completed and souls, the certain number attached to your work, will be saved. Additionally, I will have the joy, the happiness of knowing that My immeasurable love for you is returned.”

So delay no further, but on this special day of untold grace, step away from whatever sin is hurting you and holding you back from being the most kind and loving, selfless and sincere version of yourself and step into the Confessional. Open your soul, with all its sins and scars and humbly, silently allow Jesus Christ acting in and through the priest to absolve and obliterate your sins, and restore and renew your soul. Then, you can rest peacefully on the Gentle Heart of Our Eucharistic Savior and even confidently go to receive His Body and Blood in Holy Communion (now in a state of grace!). With His True Presence within you, your heart will be filled to the very brim with the light, the warmth, the fire of His Divine Love. And I assure you: this Love is more powerful and vibrant than any force in the universe… and it will spill out over into every soul you come into contact with. Be not afraid, but listen now to the beautiful and freeing words of Our Lord Himself calling out to you, from “Jesus Speaks to Sinners”:

“I love you. I have forgiven you everything you have ever done against Me or against yourself. You are welcome in My arms and there is a place in My heart for you. If you make the smallest movement toward Me, you will see Me act with great speed to pull you back into the safety of your Christian family. My child, will you answer your Jesus? It is My voice you hear calling out your name. Come to Me now. You will look back on your life someday and you will see this moment as very important for your eternity. Do not hesitate. Your time is over and Mine has begun. Fear nothing. Accept My joy and accept My light. In all quietness, turn your eyes to Mine.”

Vibrant Pools of My Infinite Love

Looking back at my day before going to bed was thinking:

”Ugh, God, I wish I worked for you more today.”

“You did and you are working for Me all the day, by praying. Your prayers are beautiful works of love before My Eyes that I can use according to the All-Benevolent Will of My Father. And the more trust you surrender them to Me with, the more facility I have in distributing them to their intended destinations- always directed toward your good and the good of all souls.

“Prayer from the heart is truly the weapon, not only in these precarious times in which you live, but in every moment of your own life. When temptations draw near, draw your sword of fervent prayer, especially the prayer devoted to My Mother- the Most Holy Rosary- and we will be there in an instant to act against whatever the challenging force you feel creeping near you may be. Be it any trace of sudden tiredness, anxiety, curiosity, prideful, unkind, or impure thoughts, or simply a lessening of love in your heart, prayer is the remedy, for I am the Divine Healer. Constantly plunge, bathe, immerse yourself in My Vibrant pools of infinite Love then, little one, for to grow in love is what you are here on earth for, and what is growing in your love but simply experiencing Mine, more and more deeply? You’ve heard it been said that prayer is oxygen for the soul. So breathe, My child, breathe in My Love!

“Truly, I tell you, Heaven and earth will pass away, but your prayers stand firm forever, for your words of intimate love are My Words when you let My Spirit pray through you. Yet often, it is the wordless prayer that most please Me, your Jesus. The payer of simply relishing in My Presence and absorbing My Love into the depths of your soul. For what is prayer but a continual communion with Me?

“When we are like this- heart to Heart- I begin to fuel you, feed you, and fuse ever closer with you. Let oneness be your goal then! Oneness with the Divine! Just think of it! Then I will live in you and it will no longer be you but Christ living in your world. Yes, yearn for Me with everything you are, long to stay with me, to just be with Me and in Me for as long as possible. There is an untold, ecstatic intimacy that awaits you in eternity with Me, and in My Goodness and Unimaginable Love for you, I desire it to begin now. So quiet your heart and silence your soul, My Beloved, for your God, your Lover, your All comes to you in this very moment. This feeling of blazing love and burning peace can only come from Me. It emits a joy that radiates endlessly outward, inspiring all to join the Dance of all things Divine, inviting all into experience the glorious wonder of Heaven. Be sure to guard it vigilantly from the attacks of the evil one who comes to still, kill, and destroy, by feeding its flames with perpetual prayer, surges of the heart and spiritual communions made with your whole being! Did I not command you to love Me, your God, with all your heart, soul, mind and strength? Settle down now, into My Paternal embrace, so we can pick up where we left off in this moment-to-moment love story that we will write together for all eternity. I love you so, My beloved son. Be still and know that I Am Love.”

“Love Never Ends” (1 Corinthians 13:8)

Happy New Year everyone!!! I hope you all have had a beautiful, blessed Christmas filled with many moments of joy with family and friends! I know for me, it was wonderful to be united with the fam! Here’s a picture of us at Midnight Mass of my home Parish in Florida!

Also, THIS is my Church’s amazing, hilarious, massive (with emphasis on the “Mass”😄) LifeTeen youth group…#SaintIggies #GodSquad #BlessUp?

As we reflect on the memories of the year behind and prepare for the resolutions of the year ahead, let us not forget about the beautiful gift of this very present moment!

Indeed, every precious present moment holds unique graces and unrepeatable opportunities to more deeply, fervently, and wholeheartedly love. And how exactly can one increase his or her capacity to love? The answer is surprisingly simple: prayer. The more your heart humbly surrenders itself to intimate prayer, the closer it grows to Divine Love, the larger it grows in Holy Love, and the stronger it grows in all the virtues. Thus, in addition to the many physical and intellectual resolutions you might be planning, don’t neglect nourishing your spiritual life as much as possible through prayer, or “oxygen for the soul” as Saint Padre Pio defined it!

The prayer I find most calming yet energizing is the Rosary. And not just repeating decades of 10 “Hail Mary’s” and a “Glory Be” over and over, but really putting my heart into it, plunging into my inner self where God’s Vibrant Presence dwells and Christ’s Endless Love burns, a place that craves greater union to Him, especially in His painful, piercing Passion, by which I am saturated with His very Divine Life!

In these times of so much lack of love in hearts, there is so, so much need for heartfelt prayer. I am reminded of the quote by philosopher Peter Kreeft: “I strongly suspect that if we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers make, and all the people those prayers were destined to affect…we would be so paralyzed with awe that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives.” Indeed, I imagine the angels scavenging the earth daily to collect and count even my smallest, weakest, faintest prayers, which are then purified, perfected, and presented before the Throne of God through the unblemished hands and Immaculate Heart of Our Mother Mary, before finally being sent out to their final destinations: human hearts desperately -albeit often unconsciously- hurting and hungering for true love, which is salvation.

In this way, every prayer surrendered up from a loving heart can transcend time and space to reach just the person who needed it most there and then! And the more love in our hearts when we pray, the more powerfully our prayers pierce the very Heart of Our Loving and Merciful Father, such that He cannot help but look upon us, His little children, with tenderhearted compassion and shower the whole world with fresh graces and blessings!

Don’t allow yourself to be saddened, worried, or discouraged, for no matter where you are along your spiritual journey, what you’ve done in the past, or how others perceive you, rest assured that you have a special place reserved for you for all of eternity by the Creator and Bridegroom of your soul, safely nestled so close to His Divine Heart of Infinite Power, Majesty, and Love. He is truly so madly in love with and utterly enamored by you that even your slightest effort toward contemplation, conversation, and communion with Him fills Him with love, joy, and peace and thus affects the whole cosmos.

As the new year ahead is dawning, remember that every breath, every heartbeat, every present moment is another chance to show and grow your love for God and others, and thus attain salvation for your own soul and your brother and sister souls, many of whom you may never meet until eternity. On the stage of heaven and earth, you have a whole multitude of faithful friends- the saints- praying for you and cheering you on, including the Queen of the Universe, your most beautiful Blessed Mother Mary, whose intercessory power is unmatched by any. In all Her gentleness, goodness, and grace, She will help you to transform every thought, word, and deed into an immortal victory of Love, through constant surrender of your heart to God’s Divine Will- which is Love and Mercy itself. Imagine the great soldier of love, warrior of prayer, and hero of holiness you can be in this life and in the next, by handing over everything, especially the distractions of physical appearance, social reputation, emotional bitterness, intellectual pride, sensual pleasure, and material gain, to the only one who loved the Most Holy Trinity perfectly and sinlessly, as the Mother, Daughter, and Spouse of God! “Ad Jesum Per Mariam”

Only along Heaven’s Shores will see the unlimited value and eternal ripple effects of every prayer, every sacrifice, every act of kindness made with a heart full of love… but by then there will be no “time” left for increasing our capacity to hold all the heavenly happiness God desires to infuse our hearts with, the sublime glory of which no eye has seen, ear heard, nor heart imagined… Delay not one moment longer, then, and begin by praying the powerful “weapon of choice”- the Most Holy Rosary. If you don’t have time to pray all 5 decades, pray just one, or even just a few Hail Mary’s. And if you don’t know yet how to pray the “Hail Mary”, simply yet sincerely say, “I love You, God, I love You God, I love You God…” over and over to until you feel the fires of His Love burn brighter and brighter from deep within. You can be sure that God never tires of hearing His name lovingly pronounced by one of His beloved souls, for He once told Saint Teresa of Avila, “I would recreate the whole universe just to hear you say you love Me.” Indeed, just one single act of love- “Jesus, Mary, I love you! Save souls!”– so satisfies His unquenchable thirst for our love that it can convert a soul and repair 1,000 blasphemies*! Every last “I love You” is another step closer to the defeat of evil and the Triumph of Love!

Through perpetual prayer, our lives are destined to become an ongoing love affair with Jesus! Enkindling this intimate union with Him is truly, the greatest possible gift we can give to the world and way to make use of the present moment. The more we spent time praying from deep within, the more peace, joy, and love we will radiate outward to all and the more present moments we will successfully sanctify and thus eternalize, until even the most monotonous of tasks becomes a wonder of love! For in the words of the little St. Therese of Lisieux so beautifully put it, “Love makes time eternal by giving divine value to everything.” And as Our Lord Himself declared on November 5th, 2006 in a special Message to all peoples and nations:

“The only thing you lose forever in the present moment is that which is not loving. The only thing which you save in the Eternal Now is all that you think, say and do in Holy Love. Holy and Divine Love are eternal.”

May the Eternal Now, God of all Love and Mercy, and His and our Mother, Mary, bless, protect, guide and inspire you in every precious moment of 2019, and forevermore!

Yours in the loving-kindness of Notre Dame, Our Mother,

Greg O. Perenich, aka “Little Gregory”

“Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous; love is not boastful or conceited; it is never rude and never seeks its own advantage; it does not take offense or store up grievances.

Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but finds its joy in the Truth. It is always ready to make allowances, to trust, to hope and to endure whatever comes. Love never comes to an end.”

-1 Corinthians 13:4-8, NJB

”O life so dull and monotonous, how many treasures you contain! When I look at everything with the eyes of faith, no two hours are alike, and the dullness and monotony disappear. The grace which is given me in this hour will not be repeated in the next. It may be given me again, but it will not be the same grace. Time goes on, never to return again. Whatever is enclosed in it will never change; it seals with a seal for eternity.”

-Saint Faustina, in her Diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul, (#62)

Messages of Holy and Divine Love (Q&A)

What is Holy Love?

“Holy Love is:

  • “The Two Great Commandments of Love – to love God above allelse and to love neighbor as self.”
  • “The fulfillment and the embodiment of the Ten Commandments.”
  • “The measure by which all souls will be judged.”
  • “The barometer of personal holiness.”
  • “The Gateway to the New Jerusalem.”
  • “The Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
  • “The First Chamber of the United Hearts.”
  • “The Purifying Flame of Love of Mary’s Heart that all souls mustpass through.”
  • “The Refuge of Sinners and the Ark of these last days.”
  • “The source of unity and peace amongst all people and all nations.”
  • “Holy Love is God’s Divine Will.”
“Realize that only evil would be opposed to Holy Love.”

From the words of Our Lord Jesus to visionary Maureen Sweeney Kyle of Holy Love Ministries on November 8, 2010…

What is Holy Love Ministries?

As taken from their Overview page on the website:  “Holy Love Ministries is an ecumenical lay apostolate committed to living and propagating the Holy Love, Divine Love and United Hearts messages. These messages which support the two great commandments–love God above all else and love your neighbor as yourself–are given by means of private revelation to Heaven’s messenger. HLM Servants of Holy Love gather to pray the rosary for world peace, for an end to abortion, and that hearts open to Heaven’s messages.” The following video of around 5 minutes also gives a good summary of the Shrine and property in Elyria, OH:

What are the Messages of Holy and Divine Love?
A basic summary of the main messages from Jesus, Mary, and multiple saints can be found here
As a continuation of the Fatima messages, they emphasize personal holiness through the Chambers of the United Hearts, namely the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus and Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, as depicted in the United Hearts Image depicted below:
Here are a few example messages:

Don’t private revelations need a “Nihil Obstat” or “Imprimatur” from the local Bishop?

Cannon Law currently says that new revelations, apparitions, miracles, etc do not need Church approval to be read circulated, as long as they do not go against faith and morals. So no imprimatur needed (see Discernment of Visionaries and Apparitions Today by Albert J. Hebert, SM).  Canon Law also states that Catholics have the prerogative to believe in private revelation and if they turn out to be false, they will still receive the graces as if it were real!

Do any of the Holy Love Ministries Messages contradict faith and morals?

No. Multiple priests, bishops, and even the former Archbishop of Nigeria have expressed letters of endorsement for the Messages as not being against, and actually very in line with faith and morals of the Catholic Faith (See In other words, had these apparitions occurred in another part of the world, they may well of had ecclesial approval for years, even decades now. In fact, the messages themselves often express the importance in remaining faithful to the Church’s Magisterium and Tradition, especially amidst these trying times of so much rejection, ignorance and compromise of Church Teaching.

So, what about that letter from the former Bishop of the Cleveland Diocese?

As Wayne Weible, the late Catholic journalist widely known for his books on the Medjugorje apparitions, stated in his 2015 book, Intimate messages from Heaven:

“To put it bluntly: Holy Love Ministries has never been condemned by the Catholic Church. It also has never been condemned by the Cleveland Diocese. However, in November 2009, the bishop of the Cleveland Diocese issued a formal “admonition” for Catholics advising them to stay away from Holy Love. The fact is, it is an invalid action since the Diocese has no jurisdiction over an ecumenical entity. Further, the decree of admonishment was reportedly issued based on an investigation conducted by the Diocese by a person or persons unidentified. When Don and Maureen asked the Diocese for a copy of the investigation and who conducted in they were told the information was “confidential.” In order to be objective in Writing the story of Holy Love, I contacted the Diocese via email in November 2015, informing them that I was writing a book on the Ministry and wanted to give the Diocese an opportunity to explain the business of the admonition, the claim of an investigation of Holy Love and a list of other related questions. I was told at that time that a response would be forthcoming to my questions. Two weeks later, after several emails inquiring when I might receive answers to my questions, I received a short note with consider an attachment of the same decree that had been issued in November.”

Is the Bishop’s “Admonition” the same thing as a formal “Condemnation”?

No. Recall the 8 demands or prohibitions that Bishop Zanic wrote of Medjugorje, who formally believed in the apparitions until pressure to demote him from Bishop to Parish Priest came from the Communists. This list stated that the visionaries were to make no further public appearances, have no apparitions in the church, and that practices and devotions related to Medjugorje were to stop (he even demanded the visionaries give him knowledge of the secrets!)… Unless the Church officially releases a formal condemnation of the private apparition or revelation after thorough investigation, there is no reason to abandon belief of their legitimacy and devotion to their spirituality.

As it stands, Holy Love Ministries has every right to operate locally under the following 2 Cannons:

Canon 215 – The Christian faithful are at liberty freely to found and direct associations for purposes of charity or piety or for the promotion of the Christian vocation in the world and to hold meetings for the common pursuit of these purposes.

Canon 216 gives us the right to promote or sustain apostolic action “…all the Christian faithful have the right to promote or sustain apostolic action even by their own undertakings, according to their own state and condition.”

Shouldn’t we wait for a Bishop’s or Vatican’s “approval” before reading the messages?

To wait until an apparition is approved would be to miss out on many graces for healing and conversion. Medjugorje’s own Father Leon, OP, has often spoken about this effect:

“Lourdes took 4 years to be approved, Fatima took 13 years to be approved. When they were approved, the Bishops said that one of the reasons that they were approved was the continual numbers of people coming there while it was still not approved. So that’s one of the signs the Church looks for. So to say you can’t go to somewhere unapproved is not true.”

What is the current stance of the Diocese of Cleveland, under the newly appointed Bishop?

As far as I’ve been told the Diosece of Cleveland, when asked by pilgrims about Holy Love, has had a “see for yourself” mentality…which may indicate a shift in the right direction for approval!

What does Scripture/Tradition say?

Acts 5:38-39: “So now I tell you, have nothing to do with these men, and let them go. For if this endeavor or this activity is of human origin, it will destroy itself.  But if it comes from God, you will not be able to destroy them; you may even find yourselves fighting against God.”

“It is better to believe than not to believe, for, if you believe, and it is proven true, you will be happy that you have believed, because Our Holy Mother asked it.  If you believe, and it should be proven false, you will receive all blessings as if it had been true, because you believed it to be true.”  — His Holiness, Urban VIII (Pope, 1623-44)

“This too must be listed among the rights of a human being, to honor God according to the sincere dictates of his own conscience, and therefore the right to practice his religion privately and publicly.”  — His Holiness, John XXIII, Pacem in Terris, April 11, 1963.

“Private revelation is a help to this faith, and shows its credibility precisely by leading me back to the definitive public Revelation.” — Pope Benedict XVI

A Woman Clothed With the Sun…

Feast of the Holy Name of Mary
September 12th, 2018
She comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, and terrible as an army set in battle array. Clothed in celestial light, surrounded by heavenly hosts, crowned with cosmic stars, and throned among countless roses, she stands.
Her beauty is endlessly captivating, inspiring childlike hearts to awe, wonder, and instant conversion through the penetrating rays of Divine Grace reflected off her Immaculate Hands and the burning flames of Divine Love spread through her Immaculate Heart.
Awaken, O sleeper, and marvel at this most beautiful and blessed, glorious and graceful, loving and beloved Woman in all of Paradise! Indeed, she is worth gazing at for all of eternity, and yet after just one look into her loving, merciful eyes and sweet, serene smile, the soul has had its fill forever.
She is the the personification of goodness, the definition of holiness, the perfection of virtue, the height, breadth, and depth of the human person fully alive, as Daughter, Spouse, and Mother the Most Holy Trinity. For within Her Most Pure womb, She intimately holds and houses God’s very Self, Son, and Spirit, radiating His supreme Love, sublime Joy, and supernatural Peace infinitely outward.
She is Queen of the whole Universe, of all Angels and Apostles, all Saints and sinners, all of Heaven and Earth alike.
Her name is Mary.
But you can simply call her Mom.
Oh blessed Mother,
Mother of Salvation for the whole world,
pray that my love for Jesus can be re-kindled.
Help me to feel the Flame of His Love,
so that it fills my soul.
Help me to love Jesus more.
Pray that my faith, love and devotion for Him,
become stronger.
Allay any doubts, which torment me,
and help me to see clearly the Divine Light of the Truth,
which radiates from your beloved Son,
the Savior of all humanity.
(From Crusade Prayer #47: Re-kindle your love for Jesus)
“A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.”
-Revelation 12:1
“There is not such powerful help in any name, nor is there any other name given to men, after that of Jesus, from which so much salvation is poured forth upon men as from the name of Mary.”
“…the devout invocation of this sweet and holy name leads to the acquisition of superabundant graces in this life, and a very high degree of glory in the next.”
-Richard of St. Laurence

3 Things I Learned as a Medjugorje Pilgrim

unnamed (2)
This photo collage was put together by Stella Mar Films, the makers of the Medjugorje Documentary Apparition Hill…who we met and ate with for the week!

“Dear children, I am calling you to accept my words which I am speaking to you as a mother, with a simplicity of heart, so that you may set out on the way of complete light and purity, of the singular love of my Son, man and God.

“A joy—a light indescribable in human words—will penetrate your soul and the peace and love of my Son will take hold of you. I desire this for all of my children. Therefore, you, apostles of my love, you who know how to love and forgive, you who do not judge, you whom I encourage, you be an example to all those who are not going on the way of light and love or who have diverted from it. By your life show them the truth. Show them love because love overcomes all difficulties, and all of my children thirst for love.

“Your unity in love is a gift to my Son and me. But, my children, remember that to love also means to desire the good for your neighbor and to desire conversion of your neighbor’s soul.

“As I am looking at you gathered around me, my heart is sad, because I see so little brotherly love, merciful love.

“My children, the Eucharist—my Son alive among you—His words will help you comprehend, because His word is life, His word makes the soul breathe, His word brings about cognition of love.

“Dear children, anew, I am imploring you as a mother who desires the good for her children: love your shepherds, pray for them. Thank you.”

These beautiful words came from the Blessed Virgin Mary’s message to the visionary Mirjana Soldo during her apparition on the June 2nd, 2018. And on this bright, sunshiny morning, for the first time in our lives, my dad and I were there to experience the event with our very own eyes…

This is the Blue Cross where Our Blessed Mother appears during the 2nd and 25th of every month, at the base of Apparition Hill.

If you don’t know anything about Medjugorje (or even how to pronounce it!), it is a small village in former Yugoslavia, modern Bosnia Herzegovina, where the Blessed Virgin Mary first appeared to 6 young people atop Apparition Hill on June 24th, 1981 and continues to appear today. Her simple yet profound messages of conversion to God, love, prayer, fasting, and peace have changed the lives of millions worldwide…

After nearly 40 years, the visionaries have undergone extensive scientific and psychological testing, and all are healthy and sane. There are 10 secrets to be revealed concerning the future of the world, and a lasting visible sign in Medjugorje is one of them. Yet most important is not to worry about tomorrow but to live every day, every present moment with Holy Love in our hearts for God and neighbor, as “apostles of love” of Our Mother Mary and Her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Traveling through Stella Mar Pilgrimages allowed us the unique privilege to stay in the residence of the visionary Mirjana Soldo! Our mornings usually began with a light home-cooked breakfast (the food there was so simple, fresh, and delicious!) and then a short, scenic walk to the Saint James Church where English mass began at 10 am. After mass, we were free to stay, pray, shop, and explore until a large, late lunch (and late I usually was!) was served to us by Mirjana, her friends and family around 2pm. Then, we had some more free time until the afternoon sessions, which started around 5pm with the recitation of the mysteries of the rosary and confession by the main Church. The international masses held outdoors behind the Church, which were packed with thousands of people from multiple countries and many priests at the altar concelebrating (there are no need for lay Eucharistic Ministers in Medjugorje as the many priests distribute Communion down the packed yet reverent lines of people). After mass, there would be the recitation of 7 Our Father’s, Hail Mary’s, and Glory Be’s- the formula Our Lady first advised the children start with before working up to a daily rosary. We were lucky enough to experience the celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi on Thursday, May 31st, which included a procession of the Blessed Sacrament- Jesus in the Eucharist- through the streets. We also attended a jam-packed nighttime Adoration with thousands of other Pilgrims gathered to adore Our Lord on the Altar with deep prayer and beautiful song.

Though it was a little hot in the summer afternoons, the beautiful, brisk walk from Mirjana’s house to the Church really made the Medjugorje experience that much more memorable.

Along the way, we met many amazing, interesting, and hilarious friends that kept the journey joyful. Some of these were Cathy, a woman who has been caring for daughter with a traumatic brain injury for the last 7 years, Donna, a Texan who could have easily passed for a stand-up comedian, John, a college student and active member of his charismatic campus ministry, Teresa, the Vice President of Walsh University who hiked Cross Mountain entirely barefoot, Melinda a convert from Lutheranism who advised us to simply invite our neighbors to mass, James, a South Bend local who was finally returning to the miraculous place after over 20 years, and Stacey, a funny, friendly women who called me the future Pope!

My dad and I (aka “The Gregs”) as we finally finish the Cross Mountain Stations of the Cross hike! And what a view it was!

Reflecting back on my time at this special place, here are three beautiful truths I learned that I would love to share:

1. The greatest of all miracles is the Mass…

Many people travel around the world to see great signs and wonders like the sun spinning, the visionaries in ecstasy, and rosaries turning gold…but do they realize that the greatest miracle of all happens every single day in the Catholic Church down the block from their home? To illustrate this, our tour guide, Miki, asked us, “Do you want to see miracles?” “Yes!” We excitedly replied. Then, Miki simply pointed us toward the confessionals, saying “Here’s where the real miracles happen,” encouraging us to start our pilgrimage off with a clean slate and cleansed soul from a good, thorough confession…

Indeed, as Catholics we believe that Jesus forgives our sins in all their entirely through the absolution of the priest, His representative on earth. And this “soul cleansing” is what allows us to be in a state of grace in order to receive greatest of all miracles: the Eucharist, where Christ is fully alive and present from the moment of the priest’s consecration, yet hidden for love for us in a tiny piece of bread. Yes it’s true: every day, in tabernacles and on altars all around the world, Jesus Christ, the God of the Universe is really and truly present, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, gently yet eagerly awaiting our presence to commune with us, strengthen us, in a word, embrace us with His Love.

Knowing this, it’s no wonder that Our Mother Mary is calling us back to monthly confession and more frequent reception of the Eucharist as two of her “Five Stones“. Her words to us, “If you knew how much I loved you would cry for joy,” echo those  Saint John Vianney spoke over century before: “If we knew what the Mass really was, we would die from joy.”

“Nothing is by chance: neither pain, nor joy, nor suffering, nor love.” Our Lady told us on the September 2nd apparition of 2016. And so, is it really a coincidence that this unusually large Parish was named after Saint James, the Patron Saint of Pilgrims, back in 1969 when Medjugorje was just a small, rural village with only around 80 or so families…

2. Evil is very real, but not nearly as strong as Love.

Saint Padre Pio once said that, “The field of battle between God and Satan is the human soul. It is in the soul that the battle rages every moment of life.” At Medjugorje, I definitely experienced the reality of this battle…

One morning, after hiking up Apparition Hill, I was praying on my hands and knees before the Mary statue (pictured below). Suddenly, a woman being held back by two others, one on each side, grabbed for the fence right next to me and looking up at the Mary statue, uttered loud, angry and-dare I say-evil sounding words.

At first I felt startled and afraid, but I quickly remembered the words my Aunt Julie had told me before my trip concerning spiritual warfare in Medjugorje, that my two best options were to either stay and pray fervently and fearlessly, or else leave quickly and quietly. Apparently, fear attracts evil. So then, I reasoned, love must repel it! For, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear…” (1 John 4:18)

Thus, I kept kneeling and praying decade after decade of my little finger Rosary of the Unborn, trying my best to feel love in my heart for this poor woman, a soul loved into existence from the depths of God’s unfathomable Love and Mercy, destined to return to Him as His child forever… After a few minutes, her cries calmed down until she essentially collapsed in the women’s arms, and I was able to begin my track down Apparition Hill in prayer and peace.

Later on, I found out from other Pilgrims who witnessed the event (my dad included) that there were many people behind us praying for her, and one of them was a priest! The whole experience was a serious reminder of the reality of evil, demons, and the devil, who constantly tries to distract our every free moment from loving prayer to God. It really made the spiritual warfare that Protestants often discuss feel that much more intense, and yet I felt all the more confident in the power of prayer, the power of Love. For as Our Lady said in one of her messages, “Do not be afraid of Satan. That isn’t worth the trouble, because with a humble prayer and an ardent love, one can disarm him.”

Perhaps this is why Miki, our tour guide, told us while praying the Stations of the Cross up Cross Mountain to take out our “weapons”- our rosaries. “When you pray the rosary, the devil is fainting with fear….” He smiled, “Let’s keep him constantly fainting.”

Me praying at the foot of the Mary Statue on Apparition Hill just before the above incident occurred. This site is said to be where the “permanent, indestructible, and beautiful” sign will be given to all of humanity to convert quickly back to God.

3. A heart full of God’s Love has the power to change the world…

While the week held many memorable experiences, one of my personal favorites was hearing Mirjana speak to us Pilgrims. Despite the multitude of crowds that swarm her on the day of her big monthly apparition, here, in the privacy of her own home, it’s clear to see that she is so humble and down-to-earth as she graciously shared her story (probably for the hundred thousandth time) with us. She told us of her upbringing in Saravejo and how she would visit her family in the rural hills of Medjugorje during the summers, where she and Ivanka first saw a gloriously beautiful Lady on what is now Apparition Hill in utter fear and disbelief. She told us how the then Communist government began cracking down on the Franciscans of Saint James parish and the 6 young visionaries (Mirjana was kicked out of school and even spent time aggressively interrogated by Communist Officials). She even briefly spoke about the 10 secrets that Our Lady entrusted to her. For anyone who hasn’t heard her full story, I would absolutely encourage you to read her beautifully written book, “My Heart Will Triumph” which is up there in my favorite books of all time!

During the Q&A segment of her talk, her charming sense of humor was made apparent, and she joked with us about her husband’s reaction to the Italian pilgrims (they’re known for being very pious yet a bit pushy!). “We have to joke of course…” she told us, “Because if you want to be an example of God’s love, of God’s joy….well have a joy. Smile. No more of those angry, suppressed, or serious faces. Let it be seen on us that we are trying to live God’s love.”

At one point, however, she was asked, “What does it mean to have an open heart?” To that Mirjana responded, “An open heart is a heart ready to forgive, a heart ready to sacrifice itself for others, a heart full of love.”

Each of the 6 visionaries were given a mission of a certain group of people to pray for, and Mirjana’s is for unbelievers. Yet Our Mother Mary respectfully describes them, her children and our brothers and sisters, as “those who have yet to experience God’s love.”

This Truth, that only a heart full of love makes the soul beautiful, that a only heart full of love can illuminate others, that only a heart full of God’s Love can endure and even embrace every Cross, big and small, like Christ did…this is what the Good News, indeed life itself, is really all about. As Mirjana writes in her book:

“Few people realize that kind words and gentle embraces can change the world. How we treat others spreads exponentially. It affects the future more than anything else. ‘God is love,’ Jesus taught, ‘and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.’”

“Let her [the Blessed Virgin Mary] lead you to love. Eventually, others will see in you what they’re looking for, even if they didn’t know they were looking for it, and your peace will spread to the people around you.”

Indeed, let us all pray to have hearts constantly filled of God’s Peace…God’s Joy…and most of all God’s Immeasurable Love. For as Mirjana told us Pilgrims:

“Every morning I wake up early, around 5am and I pray. And I pray to God for only one thing: for the gift of love. Because when you have love, the you have everything.”

“Mirjana, have you met Greg yet?” “Oh yes. My daughter said he is always smiling.”

Quote (from Our Lady’s Message on August 2nd, 2017):

“Do not be afraid. Do not be uncertain, I am with you. Do not permit yourselves to be discouraged because much prayer and sacrifice are necessary for those who do not pray, do not love and do not know my Son. You help, by seeing your brothers in them. Apostles of my love, harken to my voice within you, feel my motherly love. Therefore pray, pray by doing, pray by giving, pray with love, pray in work and thoughts, in the name of my Son. All the more love that you give, so much more of it you will also receive. Love which emanates from love illuminates the world.”

“And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.”

“Letters from the Lord”
June 28th, 2018
Dear Friends,
Well hello! I hope this email finds you all well! I wanted to apologize since it’s been so long since my last Love Letter… Life, as usual, has been pretty crazy, with graduation from Notre Dame last month, followed by an amazing pilgrimage to Medjugorje and Rome! I hope to be able to share about that experience, but for now, I am excited to show you this newest video I made in honor of Father’s Day last week! It’s entitled “Forever Yours” and is written from the perspective of Our Father in Heaven, the Father of all life, of all ages, indeed, of the whole the universe. He loves all He has created, from the tiniest blade of grass to the tallest mountaintop…but most of all He loves His children: each and every one of us. In good times and in bad, He holds us all in the very Palm of His Hand!*
Please enjoy, and feel free to share with friends and family!

Thank you so much for all the encouraging love and support of these Letters! Please keep me in your much-needed prayers! (And let me know how my family and I can pray for you, too!) May God bless you in His Merciful Love and may Mary keep you always under the protection of her Motherly Mantle…
Yours in Notre Dame, Our Mother,
Greg O. Perenich
aka “Little Gregory”
